Lisa Freeman is an Irish artist working in video, performance and installation. She graduated with a First Class Honours BA in Fine Art from the Crawford College of Art and Design, Cork in 2015.
I am interested in probing the boundaries between successful and failed communications and idiosyncrasies between form and content. I use familiar forms and structures and then excavate and fill them with different content, to show something not sitting comfortably in its form. Jacques Derrida’s essay ‘Parergon' serves as a platform for me to establish a broad research-based pursuit, as the foundation for my work.
